Children's Hospital of Michigan's Emergency Department is Michigan's only pediatric verified Level I Trauma Center in the state.  With more than 85,000 visits every year, our ED is Michigan's most kid-friendly.  An emergency referred care service is available for patients who are under a physician's care or who have been seen recently by a doctor.  When you refer patients by telephone to Children's Emergency Referred Care, they are received by a registered nurse and normally seen by an emergency physician without a long wait.  Our staff will keep you informed of your patient's condition and course of treatment.
